Javotte

The work "Javotte," created in watercolor and gouache, represents the emotional state of premenstrual dysphoric disorder through the image of my antagonist, Javotte. The presence of a hedgehog on the shoulder, with its quills reminiscent of hair, reinforces this duality between the need to protect oneself and the desire to distance oneself from others. The contrast between the bright color of the hair and the dark blue background creates an introspective atmosphere, reinforcing the feeling of isolation and unease.

This self-portrait is a work that invites us to reflect on the conflicting emotions that inhabit each of us and resilience in the face of emotional hardship.
